Spring Tea

Well the rains have passed for now. I am in hopes that means spring is just around the corner. We'll be celebrating spring in a big way in "Paris" this year. As in France, printemps (spring time) is a time for showing off the newest creations from all the famous design houses. It's your chance to show off your best chapeau at Paris In A Cup's Spring Tea. Come for luncheon tea on Saturday, April 3 wearing your best spring bonnet, home-fashioned or store-bought. Prizes will be awarded at each seating. Watch our website http://www.parisinacup.com/ for details.

New items found

Bonjour from Paris In A Cup!
We are back from a long Market Week. Between LA and San Francisco we have seen a lot. We are so excited to have found a great new French cheese connection. Hopefully, they will soon be debuting in our Plat de Provence. Valerie was hot on the trail for new fresh-food ideas, while I hunted for new teas and gourmet items for the boutique. We'll be receiving some of these new things soon so watch the website http://www.parisinacup.com/ or visit us to find out what's new.
Don't forget our Best Friends Valentine Tea on Sunday February 14th. Who's your best friend? Your mom, sister, aunt, husband, beau or your best gal pal? Treat some one you love to a trip to "Paris". They'll love you for it.
A bientot!

It's Market Time!

Bonjour,
Well, it's market time in LA this week. This is the time we go to the LA Mart and convention center in search of new items for our Paris Boutique. My sister and I were there yesterday all day wandering in and out of showrooms on the hunt for unique Paris/French inspired merchandise. Yesterday we found a lot of fleur de lis items and some great things with the Eiffel Tower. So, we did find a few great things and we will go back again on Friday when the convention center opens. Let's hope we find some more.
Also, just  a note. Valerie is working on the Valentine Tea menu and we'll soon be working on our spring tea menu. Lot's of good stuff to come. Watch our website http://www.parisinacup.com/ for details.
Au revoir

Meet the authors tea and book launch

I had such a wonderful time at our Meet the Authors Tea and "The Vintage Table" book launch this last Saturday, that I felt the need to start a blog. I would very much like to thank everyone involved in this event. Our guest authors, Jacqueline deMontravel and her editorial staff from Romantic Homes Magazine graciously chatted with each of our guests, while signing books. They lasted all day during two full luncheon teas. They were troopers. Our wonderfuly generous guests dug deep and raised over $600. for our chosen charity, Casa Teresa. We were blessed with so many beautiful donated door prizes from some very sweet merchants here in Old Towne Orange and surrounding communities. And, last but not least my staff did an outstanding job preparing and serving lunch and tea for almost 90 guests. Whew, it was a lot of work, but it was so worth it. One of our dear attendees held my hand on her way out and told me how she felt as though she had been nurtured. Wow, she has no idea how she touched my heart. When we created Paris In A Cup, the goal was to create an escape. A playhouse so-to-speak, for grown-ups. A place to feel at peace, if even for just an hour. Well now I am a blogger. Look out, you'll be hearing from me often. Bless you all. Cheryl
